Alexis Thane of R.A.V.E. (Relief After Violent Encounter) was also able to attend our meeting today and receive a check for $250 to support their programs. R.A.V.E. works with women, children, and even men who have experienced abuse. They operate a shelter which houses 15 or more people at a time, and they also work with clients to do advocacy and counseling. We are very blessed to have wonderful people in our own community who work to help people who have suffered terribly.
